Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a program that teaches ancient meditative practices, such as breathing and body-awareness, as well as attention to daily activities to help manage stress, anxiety, depression and chronic pain.  The program uses sensory experience to ground one’s awareness in the present moment, regardless of whether the experience is pleasant, unpleasant or neutral. This present-moment attention reduces the anxiety and stress fueled by discursive thinking (worrying, planning, etc.) and can facilitate deep acceptance and contentment with life as it is.

Mindfulness in Motion is an 8-week mindfulness-based intervention program that offers busy adults pragmatic resiliency tools that can be easily implemented in daily life to enhance well-being and functionality while mitigating the effects of chronic stress. This program is based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program to the UMass Medical Center. This abbreviated version originated and was scientifically proven effective through OSU Dept of medicine and is a popular choice for corporate and organizational wellness programs.
