Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT, is a powerful mind-body holistic health modality that can effectively resolve physical, emotional and mental problems.

EFT often works when nothing else does, and can resolve even longstanding issues that a client may believe they just have to live with for the rest of their lives.

How Does EFT Work?

EFT uses acupressure point “tapping” while tuning in to a distressing memory or emotion to neutralize unwanted feelings and free up the body’s energy system.

EFT founder Gary Craig holds the philosophy that “the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system”. By neutralizing and releasing the disruptions in the energy system, we allow the body and mind to once more return to a natural state of harmony.

Though EFT primarily targets emotional discomfort, many people receive permanent relief from physical or mental issues, such as chronic pain, phobias, anxiety and depression, by using this modality.

Is EFT Clinically Proven to Work?

While a number of clinical trials and a veritable mountain of anecdotal evidence already point to the effectiveness of EFT, one of the more compelling arguments for its efficacy comes from Dr. David Feinstein.

His excellent paper titled Acupoint Stimulation in Treating Psychological Disorders: Evidence of Efficacy is published in the journal of the American Psychological Association and outlines the results of a 2012 review study of numerous trials, case studies and other papers that demonstrate the effectiveness EFT and similar modalities.

Dr. Feinstein concluded that “a review of current evidence revealed that the use of acupoint stimulation in treating psychological disorders has been examined in a number of studies that met accepted scientific standards. These studies have consistently demonstrated strong effect sizes and other positive statistical results that far exceed chance after relatively few treatment sessions.”

Additionally, many leaders in holistic health, such as Deepak Chopra, M.D., Donna Eden, Bruce Lipton, PhD and Norm Shealy, M.D., have praised the healing benefits of EFT.

Despite the mounting clinical evidence, the best way to “prove” that EFT works is to use it yourself, and discover the healing power within your own body and mind. If you are ready to try EFT, please click one of the links above to connect with our practitioners.
