Create a deeply functional understanding and applied practice with the
inspiring tensional system of fascia. Dr. Melinda Cooksey presents
this one-day, in-depth framework designed to help participants look at
fascia beyond the traditions of anatomy/physiology and protocol-based
techniques. With this functional foundation, participants will explore
ways to apply fascial dynamics to their current professional or
personal practices more efficiently and creatively.
This workshop will include anatomy and research-based lecture,
conversation, bodywork and movement exploration. A basic knowledge of
anatomy and physiology is recommended but not required.
Dr. Cooksey is a founding member of the Fascia Research Society and
has attended each of the 4 international fascia research congresses.
She is a 3-time OSU alumni holding a bachelors degree in the
neuropsychology and physiology of human movement, a masters degree in
anatomy and medical education, with a specialization in fascia and
lymphatics, and a doctorate in integrative medicine. She has been in
private practice in the greater Columbus area since 1997.
