Our Integrative Health Screening Day was held on October 22nd, and we are beaming with gratitude. This event is a community effort, and it would not be possible without the joint-effort of all involved. Whether you participated, volunteered, donated, or have a membership with us- we all have a part in helping one another heal.
The Integrative Health Screening Initiative was inspired by a near-fatal event for the husband of our co-founder and director. In Dr. Cooksey’s words, “Life changed for my family on October 28th 2015. Since this time, we have learned that ALC serves many like my husband that have a variety of reasons for not getting standard health screens. We have caught potentially serious issues for participants at each of the 4 events held so far and served nearly 400 people. As I watched this most recent 10/22 screening day unfold, I was struck – if we had held these 2 years ago the deep challenges my family has faced over the past 2 years around my husband’s health would’ve been minimized. I am grateful beyond expression to have the strength of our community so that we could take my family’s experience and turn it into profound, preventative good for others. I could never have created outreach like this on my own, but with all of ALC’s support we are able to do such good for each other and our broader community.” Here is a link to the original fundraiser which tells the story:
These screenings are every April and October. Here is a link for donating, please share the information! https://www.youcaring.com/all-life-community-495786
