At first glance, a psychic medium may not seem to fit with an Integrative Health model. To truly see how this modality fits within the model, ask this question, “What are we if not a collection of our experiences, beliefs, emotions, and personality characteristics?”. The intuitive arts offer ways to uniquely explore those areas by means of an energetic and vibrational exchange. An exchange that takes place not just multi-dimensionally, but naturally. The outcome of the exchange is geared toward the empowerment for self healing and wholeness of the client.
We all have senses including what is popularly termed as “extra sensory perceptions”. These senses are no different than any of our other senses in that we are born with them. Psychics and mediums understand that these innate abilities are available to everyone. The choice lies in whether or not to develop them. These senses include the “clairs” (clair means clear) and they are as follows: claircognizance-knowing, clairsentience-feeling/sensing, clairaudience-hearing, clairvoyance-seeing, clairgustance and clairalience- taste/smell. Utilizing these senses are really a matter of refining focus. During a reading both client and psychic are sensing each other, tuning in and taking in, through mind, body, and spirit.
Multi-dimensionally refers to our “higher” self or soul self. When a psychic tunes in, they are getting information from your guides, Angels, and higher self. They have a highly developed intuition and may utilize any of the clairs. A medium raises their energetic vibration even higher to connect with souls on the other side. Mediums in general primarily use clairvoyance, where they see things in their minds “eye”.
A good psychic helps bring clarity to emotion and thought which then enable the client to make clear decisions. A good medium holds a compassionate space for both the passed soul and the client to give and receive messages in the client’s highest and best good. Both psychics and mediums help the client move forward and embrace life for the better.
Healing the grief from my Mother’s passing included utilizing the services of a talk therapist and a psychic medium. As happens with many people, that healing experience with the medium set me on a spiritual course that ultimately led me to honor my soul’s calling, which is helping others onto their healing path through the use of the intuitive arts.
